On this page I'm just going to speak from my heart concerning the End Times Church.
Most people think that if you believe in a post-tribulation Rapture that you are spreading doom and gloom. If we were to be consistent, wouldn't anyone who believed in the fall of Adam and Eve be spreading doom and gloom as well?
If they didn't fall (and no one after them) then we would still be in the Garden of Eden, right? But since they sinned, they were ushered out of that utopia. The consequences involved all of us being born into a fallen world. A world where death, disease, and the sin nature are prevalent all around us.
That sounds like a lot of doom and gloom to me...
BUT God set His plan of redemption into motion reversing that mood of doom and gloom. The perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, was sent to die on the cross as our substitute (those who acknowledge their personal sin and repent). Then He rose again from the dead defeating death and hell for all those who follow Him!
Think about this for a minute. When we are saved from sin and hell, are we taken out (raptured) of this fallen world of sin and tribulation? Do we escape all death, disease, and consequences of sin?
No, we have to go through this fallen world as strangers until Papa calls us home. While we are not immune to all difficulty nor death itself, we do have the Helper to guide, comfort, and protect us on our journey toward eternal blessing.
Our primary purpose here isn't to avoid suffering at all costs. You can look for a long time and know every Hebrew and Greek word, but you will never find anyone who has lived on this planet without suffering. Not even our Savior avoided suffering. For us this is a consequence of sin.
Take courage End Times Church...one day we will be freed from the presence of sin also. But that is not until we enter our eternal state with our blessed Lord.
What does this say for the End Times Church? I'm not in charge of the Script...I just live by it and teach what it says...
These truths give us a significant clue as to how God's plan will unfold in the End Times. I'm not basing my post tribulation Rapture position on this point, as you can see on the post tribulation pages. But we can learn much from it.
If after He saves us, He leaves us on this earth with His holy presence, it must be for good reasons. There are many, but one of them is to be a light to those in darkness all around us. He desires to work through His body (the Church) on this planet...what a privilege!
Therefore, does it make sense that God would take us out of the tribulation period and leave the world in total darkness. Many believe that even the Holy Spirit will be removed! No, this is not the case.
God is reaching out to this world which He created in perfection but sadly has fallen. He wants as many as will call on His name to be saved. Thank the Lord He is patient. There are others yet to be saved...
Whether we like it or not, whether we are comfortable or not, God has a plan for His church to be a citadel of righteousness in the days we live in now and in the End Times phases yet to come. We are the End Times Church.
If this is a major issue for you, then I would kindly suggest that you think again of why Father God sent His one and only Son to be born of the Virgin Mary, to suffer and die on that cross, and to rise again from the dead.
He came here on a mission that continues today. Are you on mission with Him? Or have you fallen in a trap of the enemy to produce lethargic, self-focused Christians? One of the major traps is to get us to focus our lives around 4 idols:
(By "freedom" I mean doing whatever makes me feel good...whatever makes me happy. Opposed to this is liberty, which is freedom with responsibility...living in light of God's commands and provisions.)
We were not left behind after salvation as self-focused orphans. We were given God's very presence within us...adopted as His children. Then we are trained and sent out to bring salvation to the world!
The End Times Church will be a vibrant body, reaching out into the darkness. Will it be easy? Will those alive then suffer? Will some be killed? Yes. All this will be done just as it has been in many parts of the world for many years. We in America have been protected from outright persecution to this point. Many around the world have not.
Near the end of days persecution will be more widespread and overt, but make no mistake. MANY have suffered greatly and paid with their lives for Christ's name.
I am preparing my family to be able to navigate the last days successfully. In a way in which our Lord will whole-heartedly say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
I hope you are preparing yourself, your family, and your church as well. One of the most important ways to do that is by understanding the timing and order of the End Times Chronology. It will be your road map as the Holy Spirit guides you through that difficult and necessary time.
Can you imagine preparing for a difficult journey and not having any idea of where things are, what is around the next corner, or when certain events are to take place. God has given His End Times Church all these things concerning the last days in His Word. He has set us up for victory. Don't go into the end of days ill-prepared!
