The Second Coming is our "blessed hope". If our Heavenly Father did plan to send His Son back to bring us home, our world would have no hope. He has sent His Holy Spirit to indwell us enabling us to live a victorious life of meaning and purpose, and one day He will come back for us.
If we didn't have the return of Jesus to look forward to then we would be orphans. Left to fend for ourselves in a decaying, sin-riddled world. Thank you, Lord that this is not the case.

Isn't it great that Papa has let us know of His eternal plan in books like Daniel and Revelation? From His Word we can construct an end times timeline so we aren't left guessing as to what is ahead. It gives you a whole new perspective when you know what you're looking for next.
When I think of the Second Coming of Christ, often the first thing that jumps into my head is one of my favorite verses...
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
What an amazing thought! At Christ's return, the world is not going to see Him:
We will see Him just as He is...deep sigh. I can't wait!
There is a term concerning Jesus' return that I'd like to introduce you to...
Definition: appearing, coming, advent
Parousia = The Second Coming of Christ
I Thessalonians 3:13, 4:15 – “coming”
II Thessalonians 2:8 – “coming
I Corinthians 15:23 – “coming”
In my book and on this site I use this term interchangeably with the Second Coming of Christ.
Did you know that the return of Jesus, in our future, is to affect our lives here and now?
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.”
Praise God. What a Savior He is. Not only did He redeem us, but He also has promised to return that we might be with Him for all eternity!
Now to get a little more specific I want you to understand something. The return of Christ is not the same event as the Rapture. Pay attention as you read through the Scriptures under End Times Prophecy, and you'll see that at the Rapture Christ does not come down to the earth. We meet Him in mid-heaven.
The Rapture and the Second Coming are the same event
Find the myth buster in chapters 5 and 6 of my book
Then we come with Him at His return all the way to the earth for some other end times events you'll put on your End Times Chronology. You wont be able to miss this if you go through my book.
It's hard to get excited about something you don't have adequate or accurate information about. I encourage you to dig in, find the truth about the Second Coming in God's Word and let it be a blessed hope for you as well.
